Way-Too-Early Eagles 2027 NFL Mock Draft 1.0

The Philadelphia Eagles are currently 2-4, after losing four consecutive games. Now Eagles star quarterback Jalen Hurts has been ruled out for the remainder of the season due to blood clots. Eagles general manager Howie Roseman has also already traded away Pro Bowl center Cam Jurgens, in what could be a sign of the team becoming sellers as the trade deadline approaches.

Therefore, it feels like a good time to get an early start on our preparation for the 2027 NFL Draft with a weekly, way-too-early mock draft series. The Eagles are currently projected to have eight total draft picks to work with, although Roseman could add to his treasure chest of assets with a trade or two (or three?) in the coming weeks.

As things currently stand, here’s the first edition of my Way-Too-Early Eagles 2027 NFL Mock Draft.

Round 1, Pick 7: Jordan Seaton, OL, LSU

Philadelphia’s offensive line has been at the center of the team’s struggles both this season and last season. While Eagles starting left tackle Jordan Mailata is under contract for two more seasons and rookie starting right tackle Markel Bell has shown promise, Philadelphia won’t be able to pass up a top offensive tackle in the first round. LSU’s starting left tackle Jordan Seaton checks all of the boxes as a potential long-term answer upfront in Philadelphia.

Round 2, Pick 38: Carter Smith, OL, Indiana

Outside of Mailata, it’s hard to say that any position along Philadelphia’s offensive line is set in stone for 2027 and beyond. Therefore, the Eagles should truly consider double dipping along the offensive line early in the 2027 NFL Draft. Indiana offensive tackle Carter Smith is viewed as a candidate to make the move inside to guard at the next level. Given the uncertainty surrounding Landon Dickerson’s future with the team and Tyler Steen being set to become a free agent, Smith seems like an ideal fit.

Round 3, Pick 97: Koi Perich, S, Oregon

After letting former starting safety Reed Blankenship walk in free agency, the Eagles have really struggled at the position this season. Second-year safety Andrew Mukuba has made far too many mistakes to feel comfortable in moving forward and they’ve used a rotation of mediocre veterans like Marcus Epps, Michael Carter II and Kenny Moore II alongside him. The Eagles need to invest in another safety early in the 2027 NFL Draft. Oregon safety Koi Perich joined the Ducks in 2026 and has already made his mark with 40 total tackles and two interceptions in six games.

Round 4, Pick 114: Dom Nichols, EDGE, Michigan

The Eagles are in a tough spot at edge rusher right now. Jalyx Hunt and Nolan Smith Jr. are injured and Jonathan Greenard has struggled to stay on the field in his first season in Philadelphia. There’s an argument to be made that the Eagles should address edge rusher earlier in the 2027 NFL Draft. At 6’5” and 245 lbs., Michigan edge rusher Dom Nichols has all of the size and upside that is worth taking a chance on near the start of day three.

Round 5, Pick 148: Brendan Sorsby, QB, Texas Tech

The 2027 NFL Draft will likely be loaded with quarterbacks of all different shapes, sizes and skill sets. One of the biggest unknowns is Texas Tech quarterback Brendan Sorsby, who was ruled ineligible for the entire 2026 season due to gambling. Given the uncertainty surrounding Hurts, it feels like Philadelphia should take a quarterback at some point in the 2027 NFL Draft. The Eagles have knowingly added a player with gambling issues in the past (Isaiah Rodgers) and Sorsby could be worth the risk on day three.

Round 5, Pick 154: Benjamin Brahmer, TE, Penn State

Eagles rookie tight end Eli Stowers has yet to make his NFL regular season debut, yet he’s essentially all that the team has under contract at the position in 2027 and beyond. Philadelphia’s front office needs to invest more at tight end moving forward and Penn State tight end Benjamin Brahmer has shown flashes during his first season with the Nittany Lions. At 6’7” and 250 lbs., Brahmer would bring much-needed size and receiving upside to Philadelphia’s tight end room.

Round 5, Pick 159: Mario Landino, IDL, Indiana

The Eagles made long-term commitments to their interior defensive linemen duo of Jalen Carter and Jordan Davis. But both Moro Ojomo and Byron Young are slated to become free agents this upcoming offseason. Eagles second-year interior defensive lineman Ty Robinson hasn’t shown enough and Philadelphia will need to continue to invest in the trenches. Indiana interior defensive lineman Mario Landino is one of my favorite players to watch upfront and if he’s able put it all together at the next level, watch out.

Round 7, Pick 248: Beau Sparks, WR, Texas State

Philadelphia’s wide receiver room has been one of the lone bright spots during a dark year. DeVonta Smith, Dontayvion Wicks, Makai Lemon and Darius Cooper have all shown flashes at times this season. Yet that shouldn’t prevent Roseman from continuing to add weapons to the wide receiver room. Former Eagles quarterback G.J. Kinne is the head coach at Texas State and one of the team’s top weapons is wide receiver Beau Sparks. Kinne has praised Sparks for his NFL-worthy ability and he would bring some explosiveness to Philadelphia, as both a wide receiver and a returner.
