Eagles Over/Under: Which Players Will Surpass Expectations in 2025?
After winning Super Bowl LIX, the Philadelphia Eagles are entering the regular season with high expectations in 2025. Jalen Hurts, Saquon Barkley, A.J. Brown and others round out a star-studded roster in the City of Brotherly Love.
While Hurts and the Eagles will focus on “keeping the main thing the main thing,” which is winning another Super Bowl, each player has lofty individual goals as well. Can Philadelphia’s best players surpass the statistical lines that have been set for them? We’ll see.
The Philly Special Show has partnered with Underdog for this upcoming season to provide Eagles fans with a special deal for all of the games that they offer. Underdog offers pick’em, best ball drafts and much more.

Underdog also offers season-long over/under lines for several players, including Philadelphia’s biggest stars. With Week 1 quickly approaching, it’s time to reveal my choices for all of the season-long over/under lines that Underdog provides for Eagles players in 2025.
Jalen Hurts
Over 20.5 Passing TDs
Over 3199.5 Passing Yards
Over 12.5 Rushing TDs
Over 599.5 Rushing Yards
Despite winning Super Bowl MVP, many “experts” spent the entire offseason discrediting Jalen Hurts. While it’s easy to get lost in Hurts’ underwhelming passing stats from last season, he was a victim of the success of Philadelphia’s running game.
In both 2022 and 2023, Hurts surpassed every single one of these over/under lines. Thanks to Kevin Patullo being named offensive coordinator and the Eagles possibly lessening Saquon Barkley’s workload, I believe that Hurts will hit the over on all four of these lines in 2025.
Saquon Barkley
Under 1,424.5 Rushing Yards
Under 11.5 Rushing TDs
Over 6.5 100+ Rushing Yard Games
Under 2.5 Receiving TDs
It’s hard to doubt Saquon Barkley after the historic performance that he had last season. Yet I believe that the Eagles could look to manage his workload a bit more in 2025. There is also a notable drop-off throughout NFL history for players that have had 2,000+ rushing yards in the previous season.
Barkley’s single-season career-highs prior to arriving to Philadelphia were 1,312 rushing yards and 11 rushing TDs. While I understand that it’s a different situation with the Eagles, I believe it will be hard for Barkley to replicate the same level of success in 2025.
A.J. Brown
Over 1,124.5 Receiving Yards
Over 7.5 Receiving TDs
Over 3.5 100+ Receiving Yard Games
Despite missing four games last season, A.J. Brown still recorded over 1,000 receiving yards, seven receiving TDs and five games with 100+ receiving yards. Considering that I’m projecting Hurts to have a massive season, Brown would naturally be a huge part of that.
Brown has grown into Hurts’ favorite target and could replicate his performance from 2022. In his first season with the Eagles, Brown hauled in 88 receptions for 1,496 yards and 11 receiving TDs. If Brown can stay healthy, he’s due for a massive performance in 2025.
DeVonta Smith
Over 874.5 Receiving Yards
Over 6.5 Receiving TDs
Under 2.5 100+ Receiving Yard Games
DeVonta Smith would be the top WR on several teams around the NFL. Yet he’s stuck as WR2 in Philadelphia and still doesn’t receive the respect that he deserves. Similar to Brown, Smith also missed four games in 2024 and now the season-long over/under lines are preparing for the worst.
Smith surpassed both 874.5 receiving yards and 6.5 receiving TDs in both 2022 and 2023. Yet the 100+ receiving yard games is where things get tricky. Smith will naturally be second in line for the Eagles’ passing attack, which can sometimes lead to inconsistent performances.
Smith has just two games with 100+ receiving yards in each of the last two regular seasons. Despite the questions about Smith surpassing the century mark, he should easily hit the over on the first two lines in 2025.
Dallas Goedert
Under 574.5 Receiving Yards
Over 0.5 100+ Receiving Yard Games
Earlier in the offseason, it felt like Dallas Goedert’s time in Philadelphia was coming to an end. Yet he agreed to a reworked contract and remains the Eagles top TE. But the same questions still remain about Goedert in 2025.
The 30-year-old TE struggles to stay healthy and it’s hard to see him surpassing 574.5 receiving yards this upcoming season. Brown and Smith will obviously dominate targets, while Jahan Dotson is in line for a bigger role in year two with the Eagles as well.
Despite all of that, Goedert will still have that one random game where he reaches 100+ receiving yards. Goedert has recorded at least one game with 100+ receiving yards in each of the last five seasons.
Nolan Smith Jr.
Over 6.75 Sacks
This feels like a disrespectful line for Nolan Smith Jr. heading into his first season as a full-time starter. Smith recorded 6.5 sacks during the regular season in 2024, despite playing just 55% of Philadelphia’s defensive snaps. He should easily surpass the season-long over/under line of 6.75 sacks in 2024.
In four playoff games, Smith recorded four sacks while playing over 75% of Philadelphia’s defensive snaps. Now that Smith has cemented himself as the Eagles’ top edge defender, he should continue to play a ton of snaps and push for double-digit sacks in 2025.
Zack Baun
Over 0.5 INTs
Over 2.25 Sacks
Zack Baun shocked the world with an All-Pro campaign in his first season as an ILB in the NFL. Despite being a finalist for Defensive Player of the Year, it’s clear that some people aren’t buying what he did in 2024 based on these season-long over/under lines.
In 2024, Baun recorded 3.5 sacks and only one interception. Yet it felt like he had the opportunity for several more interceptions during the regular season with four pass breakups. He also recorded two interceptions in the postseason.
Baun should only improve in his second season at ILB, especially playing next to rookie Jihaad Campbell. Both Baun and Campbell have similar skillsets, which could create even more playmaking opportunities for the 28-year-old ILB in 2025.
