Brandon Graham Reveals Next Potential Role With Eagles

Former Philadelphia Eagles edge rusher Brandon Graham officially retired in March following a 15-year career in the City of Brotherly Love. Graham arrived as a first round pick with plenty of pressure on his shoulders in 2010. Despite a slow start to his NFL career, Graham will now be remembered as one of the greatest players in franchise history.

Following a roller coaster of a career with the Eagles, Graham is now allowed to get off of the ride and enjoy retirement. Although 37-year-old has remained busy thus far as he has made several public appearances as he looks to take advantage of his newfound free time.

Graham made two appearances on stage at Fanatics Fest in New York. He joined several of his former teammates for “The Champs Are Here” panel that highlighted Philadelphia’s championship runs in recent years.

The players discussed their experiences playing in the City of Brotherly Love and Graham was asked about Philadelphia’s midseason turnaround in 2024. Graham was quick to praise Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni for his consistent messaging and calmness through the storm of the team’s 2-2 start to the regular season.

Following the panel with his former teammates, Graham joined “Sunday Sports Club with Allison Kuch” on a different stage at Fanatics Fest. The podcast focused on Graham’s life away from the field, including the importance of his family and his potential plans for the future.

Graham discussed how much he loved to help the younger players as he matured as a leader in the locker room. He also mentioned how he would like to work with the Eagles following his retirement.

“Hopefully I find something to do with the team now because they’re going back, trust me,” Graham said.

It’s clear that Graham still has a passion for the game, even now after his playing days are officially over. He was a player that was known for his trash talk and interactions with opposing players.

Graham even joked that he would like to be Philadelphia’s team ambassador, where he would be allowed to show up at events and hype up the fans. Yet since his appearances at Fanatics Fest, we have now learned what role Graham really wants to have with the Eagles.

Graham appeared on a recent episode of “The Philly Special with Josh Davis” for an exclusive interview and discussed several topics around the franchise, including his next potential role with the Eagles.

After joking about being Philadelphia’s official hype man at Fanatics Fest, Graham revealed his ideal role with the team on the show.

“It would definitely be a player development role,” Graham said. “I really do love seeing guys take their next leap in their career.”

“I want to help guys that people ain’t looking for. And then next thing you know when they pop on the scene, ‘man, this guy came out of nowhere.’ Like Zack Baun who came in as a special teams guy in everybody’s mind but then he ended up being a key piece of why the defense was out there balling.”

Player development certainly feels like a natural path for Graham to follow and he wouldn’t be the first former Eagles player to do so in Philadelphia. Both Connor Barwin and Matt Leo are currently on Philadelphia’s development staff as well.

Graham also shared more information about the launch of Crooked Tea, following his partnership with Crook & Marker founder Ben Weiss, who was also the creator of antioxidant tea brand Bai.

Crooked Tea is holding a contest where one lucky fan will win the opportunity for Graham to show up at their party for a “BG BBQ Pull Up!”
