Way-Too-Early Eagles 2027 NFL Mock Draft 2.0

The Philadelphia Eagles are currently 2-5, after losing five consecutive games. Philadelphia’s roster has been decimated by injuries and it doesn’t seem like things are going to get much better in 2026. Therefore, it’s time for Eagles general manager Howie Roseman to be a seller at the upcoming trade deadline and look towards the future.

Following Philadelphia’s embarrassing loss on Monday night, the Eagles are currently projected to have the sixth overall pick in the first round of the 2027 NFL Draft. While Philadelphia’s front office has invested a ton of money in the team’s defense, they clearly need more help. Luckily for the Eagles, they could be in the perfect spot to address the team’s need for an elite pass rusher in the first round.

Here’s the second edition of my Way-Too-Early Eagles 2027 Mock Draft.

Round 1, Pick 6: Dylan Stewart, EDGE, South Carolina

The Eagles have recorded eight sacks in the team’s first seven games of the regular season. The only team with less sacks in 2026 is the Miami Dolphins, who have recorded six sacks in six games. South Carolina edge rusher Dylan Stewart could be the answer that Philadelphia’s pass rush needs. While Stewart was suspended for one game following an incident against Alabama, the Eagles have shown a willingness to take a chance on an elite defensive prospect with questions off the field before, such as Jalen Carter in the 2023 NFL Draft.

Round 2, Pick 43: Kingston Lopa, S, California

After letting former starting safety Reed Blankenship walk in free agency, Philadelphia’s safety room has been an absolute mess in 2026. Second-year safety Andrew Mukuba has struggled to take the next step and it’s been a revolving door next to him. At 6’5” and 210 lbs., California safety Kingston Lopa is freakishly big and has drawn comparisons to Baltimore Ravens safety Kyle Hamilton. If Lopa is there for the Eagles on day two, it would be hard to pass up on him.

Round 3, Pick 97: Jamari Sharpe, CB, Indiana

Outside of Eagles cornerback Quinyon Mitchell, the team’s secondary has underwhelmed in 2026. The Eagles should continue to invest in the secondary early in the 2027 NFL Draft and Indiana cornerback Jamari Sharpe could give Philadelphia the long-term answer at outside cornerback opposite of Mitchell. He’s been a lockdown cornerback for the Hoosiers and a key reason for the school’s recent turnaround. While Sharpe could fall due to his age (he’ll be a 24-year-old rookie), he makes up for it with his instincts and physicality at the position.

Round 4, Pick 112: LaNorris Sellers, QB, South Carolina

The Eagles are in a difficult situation at quarterback. Eagles star quarterback Jalen Hurts was having an inconsistent year before being ruled out for the remainder of the season due to blood clots. Tanner McKee hasn’t stood out and is set to become a free agent, while Joe Milton and Cole Payton haven’t shown much in the NFL. Therefore, Philadelphia should continue to invest at the position and South Carolina quarterback LaNorris Sellers is worth taking a chance on. Sellers is far from a finished product but he possesses a blend of size, speed and arm talent that is hard to find.

Round 5, Pick 148: Peter Clarke, TE, Temple

The Eagles don’t have much to look forward to at tight end, outside of rookie tight end Eli Stowers. In all honesty, Philadelphia should probably target a tight end earlier in the 2027 NFL Draft. Temple tight end Peter Clarke could go much earlier than this but he’s exactly the type of player that Philadelphia should be looking to add at the position. At 6’6” and 265 lbs., the London native brings a complete skillset to the position. The Eagles are obviously familiar with Clarke’s game and it would make plenty of sense to keep him around in the City of Brotherly Love.

Round 5, Pick 153: Desmeal Leigh, OL, Youngstown State

Former Eagles offensive line coach Jeff Stoutland is reportedly technically still under contract with the franchise. Therefore, some believe that Stoutland could return to Philadelphia as part of the team’s new-look coaching staff in 2027. If that’s the case, Stoutland could use another developmental offensive tackle to work with. Youngstown State offensive tackle Desmeal Leigh didn’t start playing football until his senior year of high school and has grown into one of the top FCS prospects in the 2027 MFL Draft. At 6’7” and 325 lbs., Leigh has all of the “tools in his body” that Stoutland looks for in a player.

Round 5, Pick 154: Tyrique Tucker, IDL, Indiana

The Eagles have made a huge commitment to Jalen Carter and Jordan Davis, yet Philadelphia’s front office will have to continue to build around them. Both Moro Ojomo and Byron Young are set to be free agents in the offseason. Indiana interior defensive lineman Tyrique Tucker could be exactly what the Eagles need to fill that void. While Tucker hasn’t matched his six sack campaign from last season, he has remained a constant force for Indiana’s defense in 2026

Round 7, Pick 250: DeSean Bishop, RB, Tennessee

The Eagles have been absolutely decimated by injuries at running back this season. While Eagles star running back Saquon Barkley has tried to play through injuries, his backups are nowhere to be found. Both Tank Bigsby and Willshipley are on injured reserve, while Carson Steele was also waived with an injury. Tennessee running back DeSean Bishop walked on in 2022 and has transformed into a key player for the Volunteers. Bishop is a true workhorse running back that showcased his ability against Alabama with 35 total touches for 175 total yards and two touchdowns.
