Eagles-Vikings Week 7 Injury Report: Who Is Playing in Minnesota?

The Philadelphia Eagles have lost back-to-back games and will be looking to get back on track against the Minnesota Vikings in Week 6. Yet the Eagles could be forced to play on the road without several key starters in Minnesota.

Eagles potential All-Pro cornerback Quinyon Mitchell left last week’s loss with a hamstring injury. While Jalen Carter was unexpectedly ruled out prior to kickoff against the New York Giants due to a heel injury.

Luckily, the Eagles played on Thursday night and could be healthier following the mini-bye week. Meanwhile, the Vikings are coming off their legitimate bye week after playing back-to-back games overseas.

Here is the updated injury report for both the Eagles and the Vikings ahead of Sunday’s game.

Eagles Injury Report

Wednesday, October 15th

  • Grant Calcaterra was the only player that did not participate during Wednesday’s practice. Calcaterra is dealing with an oblique injury and was reportedly spotted working on a side field during practice.

  • Landon Dickerson and Quinyon Mitchell were both limited on Wednesday. Dickerson missed last week’s game due to an ankle injury (along with several other injuries). Mitchell started the game but left early after suffering a hamstring injury.

  • Zack Baun, Jalen Carter and Jordan Davis were all full participants on Wednesday. Carter’s participation level is especially notable given that he missed last week’s game. Yet it was reported that MetLife Stadium’s field conditions likely played a part in Carter sitting out.

Thursday, October 16th

  • Grant Calcaterra did not participate in Thursday’s practice. It’s starting to seem increasing likely that he’ll miss a second consecutive game in Week 7.

  • Landon Dickerson was once again limited, yet he was joined by Jalen Carter. It’s noteworthy because Carter was a full participant during Wednesday’s practice. Yet he already told reporters that he will play against the Vikings.

  • Quinyon Mitchell was upgraded to a full participant for Thursday’s practice after being limited on Wednesday. Zack Baun and Jordan Davis were both full participants once again as well.

Friday, October 17th

  • Grant Calcaterra has officially been ruled out and will miss his second consecutive game due to an oblique injury.

  • Jalen Carter and Landon Dickerson are both questionable for Week 7. Yet Carter’s status is especially worth monitoring as he was a limited participant in back-to-back practices after being a full participant on Wednesday.

  • Quinyon Mitchell, Zack Baun and Jordan Davis were full participants on Friday and are good to go for Week 7.

Vikings Injury Report

Wednesday, October 15th

  • J.J. McCarthy hasn’t played since Week 2 but returned to practice as a limited participant on Wednesday. McCarthy admitted to reporters that his ankle isn’t 100% but that he selfishly wants to play, yet he has to do what’s best for the team.

  • Donovan Jackson, Brian O’Neill, Andrew Van Ginkel and Tyrion Ingram-Dawkins were all limited participants on Wednesday. Jackson and Van Ginkel haven’t played since Week 3. O’Neill left with an injury in a Week 4.

  • Carson Wentz was a full participant and could have the opportunity to start and get revenge against his former team.

  • Michael Jurgens was a full participant after missing Week 5. Minnesota’s offensive line could be in much better shape against the Eagles this week.

  • Blake Cashman and Tyler Batty were both full participants as they are working their way back from injured reserve. Cashman would provide Minnesota’s defense with a massive boost, if he’s able to return.

Thursday, October 16th

  • Christian Darrisaw was listed as a DNP but it was simply due to rest as the veteran received a day off on Thursday.

  • Jonathan Greenard was limited due to a hamstring injury on Thursday after not being listed on the injury report for Wednesday’s practice.

  • J.J. McCarthy, Brian O’Neill, Andrew Van Ginkel and Tyrion Ingram-Dawkins were all limited participants for the second consecutive practice.

  • Donovan Jackson was upgraded to a full participant for Thursday’s practice after being limited on Wednesday.

  • Carson Wentz, Michael Jurgens, Blake Cashman and Tyler Batty were all full participants for the second consecutive practice.

Friday, October 17th

  • Andrew Van Ginkel has officially been ruled out and will miss his third consecutive game.

  • Tyrion Ingram-Dawkins, J.J. McCarthy, Brian O’Neill, Michael Jurgens, Blake Cashman and Tyler Batty are all officially listed as questionable for Week 6. McCarthy is expected to serve as Minnesota’s emergency third quarterback.

  • Carson Wentz was a full participant in practice all week and will start against his former team in Week 7.

  • Donovan Jackson, Christian Darrisaw and Jonathan Greenard are all good to go after missing practice at times this week.

  • Jonathan Allen, Javon Hargrave and Harrison Smith all received veteran rest days on Friday and will play in Week 7.
