Eagles-Titans Injury Report: Who Is Out for Week 2?
The Philadelphia Eagles will travel down south to visit the Tennessee Titans in Week 2. Following an inconsistent showing in their first win, the Eagles are ready to make a statement on the road against the Titans. Yet there’s a chance that Philadelphia could be without a couple of key defensive players. Meanwhile, Tennessee could be getting back one of their best defensive players in Week 2.
Here’s the updated injury report for both the Eagles and the Titans ahead of Sunday’s matchup.
Eagles Injury Report
Wednesday, September 16, 2026
Eagles IDL Jalen Carter missed practice due to a wrist injury. Carter played 66 snaps against the Washington Commanders in Week 1 and there’s a chance that this may just be a maintenance day. It’s obviously worth monitoring Carter’s status moving forward heading into Sunday’s game.
Eagles DB Cooper DeJean missed practice due to a calf injury and an abdomen injury. DeJean really struggled in Week 1 and it seems like the injuries were likely a factor. Although it’s worth noting that DeJean told reporters “I’ll be good” and that he still expects to play following today’s practice.
Eagles EDGE Jonathan Greenard was once again limited due to his pectoral injury. According to Jeff McLane of The Philadelphia Inquirer, Greenard told reporters that they’re following the same plan as last week. He’ll see how practice goes this week before making a decision for Week 2. My guess is that Greenard will be sitting out at least one more week.
Titans Injury Report
Wednesday, September 16, 2026
Titans third-year LB James Williams was limited during Wednesday’s practice due to an elbow injury. Williams is normally a backup linebacker but was forced to play 28 defensive snaps due to injuries in Week 1. Now Williams’ status for Sunday seems uncertain due to his elbow injury.
Titans third-year LB Cedric Gray emerged as one of the best young linebackers in the NFL last season, as he recorded 164 total tackles. Yet Gray missed Tennessee’s regular season opener after suffering a concussion and minor injuries in a utility terrain vehicle accident over Labor Day weekend. Titans head coach Robert Saleh said that Gray hasn’t cleared concussion protocol yet but he is hopeful that he’ll play in Week 2.
