Eagles-Raiders Week 15 Injury Report: Who Is Playing in Philadelphia?
The Philadelphia Eagles have now lost three consecutive games and are in desperate need of a win. The City of Brotherly Love will play host to the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 15. Yet injuries could play a major factor for both teams in this inter-conference matchup.
The Eagles could be welcoming back one All-Pro in Lane Johnson, yet it’s unclear if Jalen Carter will be ready to go. Meanwhile, the Raiders could be starting former Eagles quarterback Kenny Pickett in his old stomping grounds.
Here is the updated injury report for both the Eagles and the Raiders ahead of Sunday’s matchup.
Eagles Injury Report
Wednesday, December 10th
Due to the quick turnaround after Week 14, the Eagles held a walkthrough on Wednesday and each player’s participation level was estimated.
Jalen Carter and Lane Johnson were both listed as did not participate on the team’s estimated injury report on Wednesday. Earlier reports stated that Johnson was eyeing Week 15 as his potential return date but the picture is a bit more unclear for Carter.
Landon Dickerson was estimated as a limited participant due to a calf injury. Dickerson left Monday night’s game and was initially replaced by Brett Toth before eventually returning.
Zack Baun and Charley Hughlett were both estimated as full participants. Given Jake Elliott’s recent struggles, the return of Hughlett is notable. Elliott didn’t miss any kicks when Hughlett was snapping earlier this season. Elliott has missed six kicks during Hughlett’s absence.
Thursday, December 11th
Landon Dickerson joined Lane Johnson and Jalen Carter as players that did not participate during Thursday’s practice. While Dickerson missed practice due to rest, it seems like both Johnson and Carter are trending towards missing Sunday’s game against the Raiders.
Fred Johnson was a surprise addition to the injury report as he was a limited participant due to an ankle injury. If Johnson is forced to miss any time, the Eagles would likely be forced to start Matt Pryor at right tackle (yikes!).
Cameron Williams had his 21-day practice window opened and was listed as a full participant. My guess is that Williams will receive the same treatment as Willie Lampkin and Myles Hinton. The Eagles will utilize the 21-day window for him to receive practice reps with the team before reverting back to season-ending injured reserve next month.
Friday, December 12th
Jalen Carter and Lane Johnson were both officially ruled out after not participating during Friday’s practice. Johnson will miss his fourth consecutive game, although the Eagles elected to not place him on injured reserve.
Cameron Williams is listed as questionable, yet that is likely due to his status on injured reserve. As I previously mentioned, I don’t expect Williams to be activated during his 21-day practice window.
Landon Dickerson, Fred Johnson, Zack Baun and Charley Hughlett are all good to go for Sunday’s game. Hughlett was activated off injured reserve and officially added to the 53-man roster.
Raiders Injury Report
Wednesday, December 10th
Geno Smith did not participate during Wednesday’s practice and reports have stated that he isn’t expected to play in Week 15. Kenny Pickett is expected to start at quarterback for the Raiders.
Maxx Crosby did not participate during Wednesday’s practice as the Raiders continue to manage his “nagging” knee injury. Crosby has played through the injury for a while and the All-Pro will likely tough it out once again in Week 15.
Kolton Miller returned to practice and was listed as a limited participant. Miller starts at left tackle for Las Vegas and hasn’t played since Week 4, when he suffered a high ankle sprain.
Thursday, December 11th
Geno Smith missed his second consecutive practice as it continues to look like former Eagles quarterback Kenny Pickett will start for the Raiders in Philadelphia on Sunday.
Raheem Mostert was a new addition to Las Vegas injury report, as he missed Thursday’s practice due to a knee injury.
Maxx Crosby, Jamal Adams, Jeremy Chinn and Ian Thomas were all upgraded from did not participate to limited participants at Thursday’s practice.
Michael Mayer and Dont’e Thornton were upgraded from limited participants to full participants on Thursday.
Friday, December 12th
Geno Smith, Kolton Miller and Alex Bachman were all officially ruled out for Week 15. Kenny Pickett will start at quarterback for the Raiders in his return to Lincoln Financial Field.
Jeremy Chinn, Ian Thomas and Jordan Meredith are all listed as questionable ahead of Sunday’s game. It’s notable that Chinn wasn’t a full participant in practice all week long.
Maxx Crosby and the four other players listed on the Raiders injury report this week are good to go and will play on Sunday in Philadelphia.
