Eagles-Giants Week 8 Injury Report: Who Is Playing in Philadelphia?

The Philadelphia Eagles earned a much-needed victory over the Minnesota Vikings last week. Yet the win proved costly as the Eagles could be without starting center Cam Jurgens against the New York Giants in Week 8.

Luckily for the Eagles, they should have two key starters available that they were missing during their first matchup against the Giants in Week 6. Both Jalen Carter and Quinton Mitchell should be good to go as the Eagles seek revenge against one of their division rivals on Sunday.

New York is also dealing with plenty of injuries following a heartbreaking loss to the Denver Broncos last week. The Giants could be without several starters on defense, including the NFL’s sack leader, outside linebacker Brian Burns.

Here is the updated injury report for both the Eagles and the Giants ahead of Sunday’s game.

Eagles Injury Report

Wednesday, October 22nd

  • A.J. Brown surprisingly did not participate during Wednesday’s practice due to a hamstring injury. Brown was spotted at the team’s practice and Jeff McLane of The Philadelphia Inquirer reported that Brown is “tracking towards playing Sunday vs. the Giants.”

  • Adoree’ Jackson, Cam Jurgens, Azeez Ojulari and Jeremiah Trotter Jr. did not participate during Wednesday’s practice after leaving last week’s game.

  • Jakorian Bennett had his 21-day practice window opened and was officially listed as a limited participant during Wednesday’s practice. With Jackson injured and Kelee Ringo struggling, Bennett could potentially start on Sunday, if healthy.

  • Grant Calcaterra, Landon Dickerson, Dallas Goedert and Moro Ojomo were also listed as limited participants. Calcaterra could make his return after missing Philadelphia’s last two games.

  • Brandon Graham was a full participant in his first practice with the Eagles after coming out of retirement. While the initial plan may have been for Graham to return after the bye week, he could play against the Giants given the team’s need for help on the edge.

Giants Injury Report

Wednesday, October 22nd

  • Paulson Adebo, Brian Burns, Chauncey Golston and Jevon Holland did not participate during Wednesday’s practice. It looks like there’s a real possibility that New York could be without several key defensive starters in Week 8.

  • Daniel Bellinger, Swayze Bozeman, D.J. Davidson, Jermaine Eluemunor, Demetrius Flannigan-Fowles, John Michael Schmitz Jr. and Darius Slayton were all limited during Wednesday’s practice. Eluemunor, Schmitz and Slayton are the names to monitor as starters on New York’s offense.

  • Jaxson Dart and Graham Gano were full participants during Wednesday’s practice. Gano’s potential return could be key for the Giants given the team’s kicking issues against the Broncos last week.
