Eagles-Giants Week 6 Injury Report: Who Is Playing on Thursday Night?

The Philadelphia Eagles are looking to turn things around after suffering their first loss of the regular season against the Denver Broncos. Now the Eagles will travel on the road to visit the New York Giants in Week 6.

After shocking the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 4, the Giants came crashing back down to earth against the New Orleans Saints last week. Yet New York will certainly look to play spoiler against their division rival on Thursday.

Here’s the updated injury report for both the Eagles and the Giants ahead of Thursday night’s game.

Eagles Injury Report

Monday, October 6th

  • The Eagles did not practice on Monday, October 6th but the team did release an estimated injury report.

  • Saquon Barkley, Grant Calcaterra and Landon Dickerson were all estimated as DNP. Yet according to multiple reports, Barkley is dealing with general soreness and will be fine to play in Week 6.

  • Jihaad Campbell and Byron Young were both estimated as limited participants.

  • Nakobe Dean was estimated as a full participant. It seems like there’s a real chance that Dean could be activated and make his return against the Giants.

Tuesday, October 7th

  • The Eagles conducted a walkthrough on Tuesday and each player’s participation was an estimation.

  • Grant Calcaterra and Landon Dickerson were once against estimated as DNP. It seems like neither player will be active for Thursday night’s game and could miss time beyond this week.

  • Saquon Barkley was upgraded to a limited participant and it seems like he’ll be fine to play against his former team.

  • Jihaad Campbell and Byron Young were once again estimated as limited participants and should play in Week 6.

  • Nakobe Dean was once again estimated as a full participant. The Eagles have yet to fill the open spot on their 53-man roster and it seems like Dean will be added to the active roster soon.

Wednesday, October 8th

  • Grant Calcaterra and Landon Dickerson have officially been ruled out for Week 6. The Eagles will likely rely on Kylen Granson as TE2 and Brett Toth at LG.

  • Jalen Carter was surprisingly added to Wednesday’s injury report with a heel injury. Carter has been dealing with a shoulder injury since training camp but this heel injury is a new addition. Carter is officially questionable for Week 6.

  • Nakobe Dean was a full participant but is officially listed as questionable. Matt Zenitz of CBS Sports reported that Dean is expected to make his return in Week 6.

  • Saquon Barkley, Jihaad Campbell and Byron Young were all full participants and will be good to go in Week 6.

Giants Injury Report

Monday, October 6th

  • The Giants did not practice on Monday, October 6th but the team did release an estimated injury report.

  • Swayze Bozeman, Jermaine Eluemunor, Demetrius Flanagan-Fowles and Darius Slayton were all projected as DNP. Eluemunor and Slayton are both starters and would be big losses for New York.

  • Dane Belton, Jevon Holland, Tyler Nubin, Dru Phillips, Tyrone Tracy Jr. and Jaxson Dart were all projected as limited participants. Tracy’s projected participation is notable since he hasn’t played since Week 3. It doesn’t seem like any of these players are at serious risk of missing Thursday night’s game.

Tuesday, October 7th

  • The Giants conducted a walkthrough on Tuesday and each player’s participation was a projection.

  • Swayze Bozeman, Jermaine Eluemunor, Demetrius Flanagan-Fowles and Darius Slayton were all projected as DNP once again. Giants head coach Brian Daboll seemed more positive about Eluemunor playing in Week 6 than Slayton playing.

  • Dane Belton, Jevon Holland, Tyler Nubin, Dru Phillips, and Tyrone Tracy Jr. were all projected as limited once again. Daboll seems to believe that Tracy will make his return on Thursday night.

  • Jaxson Dart was upgraded from a limited participant to a full participant on the team’s latest projected injury report. New York’s QB1 will play in Week 6.

Wednesday, October 8th

  • Swayze Bozeman, Demetrius Flanagan-Fowles and Darius Slayton were all officially ruled out for Week 6. Slayton was one of New York’s top wide receivers after Malik Nabers suffered a season-ending knee injury.

  • Jermaine Eluemunor is officially questionable to play in Week 6, although Daboll seemed hopeful that he’ll play.

  • Dane Belton, Jevon Holland, Tyler Nubin, Dru Phillips, Tyrone Tracy Jr. and Jaxson Dart aren’t carrying any game status designation for Week 6 and they should all play on Thursday night.
