Eagles-Bears Week 13 Injury Report: Who Is Playing in Philadelphia?
The Philadelphia Eagles fell to second place in the NFC after blowing a 21-0 lead against the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday. As if the loss wasn’t heartbreaking enough, several starters on Philadelphia’s defense suffered injuries in Dallas.
Now the Eagles will be forced to turn things around quickly as they’ll host the scorching hot Chicago Bears on Black Friday. The Bears have won eight of their last nine games and will look to take advantage of the banged up Eagles in Week 13.
Here is the updated injury report for both the Eagles and the Bears ahead of Friday’s game.
Eagles Injury Report
Tuesday, November 25th
The Eagles held a walkthrough on Tuesday and each player’s participation level in the injury report is an estimation.
Lane Johnson, Andrew Mukuba and Xavier Gipson were all listed as DNP on Tuesday, which was expected given their injury status. Yet two surprise players joined them in Brandon Graham and DeVonta Smith. While both players could have been simply enjoying a veteran rest day, it’ll be worth monitoring their status on Wednesday’s injury report.
Saquon Barkley, Reed Blankenship and Landon Dickerson were all listed as limited on Tuesday. Blankenship’s status is promising given that he left Sunday’s game and didn’t return due to a thigh injury. It seems like he’s trending in the right direction to play in Week 13.
Adoree’ Jackson was surprisingly listed as a full participant after he left Sunday’s game to be evaluated for a concussion. While many assumed he didn’t return to the game because he suffered a concussion, it was actually just precautionary. This is a great sign and it seems like Jackson will play on Friday.
Both Willie Lampkin and Myles Hinton continue to be full participants but remain on injured reserve. Lampkin will have to be added to the 53-man roster before Friday’s game or his 21-day practice window will expire and he’ll revert to season-ending injured reserve.
Wednesday, November 26th
The panic level was rising in Philadelphia after DeVonta Smith wasn’t spotted at practice on Wednesday. Yet while Smith was still listed as a DNP, the Eagles added the illness note along with the shoulder and chest injury. My guess is that Smith would have returned as a limited participant on Wednesday but the illness held him out. Maybe I’m crazy but I think he’ll still play on Friday.
Brandon Graham was upgraded to a limited participant on Wednesday after being a DNP on Tuesday. He should be good to go in Week 13.
Adoree’ Jackson was completely removed from the injury report on Wednesday. After leaving Sunday’s game and being evaluated for a concussion, it seems like he’ll play against the Bears.
Thursday, November 27th
The Eagles held a walkthrough on Thursday and each player’s participation level in the injury report is an estimation.
Lane Johnson, Xavier Gipson and Myles Hinton were all officially ruled out for Week 13.
Willie Lampkin was not activated during his 21-day practice window and now reverts back to season-ending injured reserve.
Andrew Mukuba was placed on injured reserve and will miss at least four games.
DeVonta Smith returned to practice as a full participant after dealing with multiple injuries all week long. He’s now good to go against the Bears.
Saquon Barkley, Reed Blankenship, Landon Dickerson and Brandon Graham were all estimated as full participants and will play on Black Friday in Philadelphia.
Bears Injury Report
Tuesday, November 25th
The Bears held a walkthrough on Tuesday and each player’s participation level in the injury report is an estimation.
Former Eagles linebacker T.J. Edwards is the most notable name listed among Chicago’s DNPs on Tuesday. Edwards has missed Chicago’s last three games due to a hand injury and it seems like he could miss a potential return to Philadelphia in Week 13.
The Bears could be receiving a major boost in their secondary on Friday as both Jaylon Johnson and Kyler Gordon were estimated as full participants on Tuesday. While both players are still on injured reserve, it seems like there is a real chance that they will play on Friday.
Wednesday, November 26th
T.J. Edwards, Noah Sewell and Tyrique Stevenson all remained listed as DNP on Wednesday, as the Bears could be without a few defensive starters in Week 13. Although there are some that believe Stevenson could lose his starting job to Nahshon Wright regardless of injury.
Gervon Dexter Sr. was a surprise addition to Wednesday’s injury report, as he was limited due to a hand injury. Dexter has been Chicago’s best pass rusher this season and it’s certainly worth monitoring his status ahead of Friday’s game.
Both Kyler Gordon and Jaylon Johnson were full participants on Wednesday and it sure seems like the Bears will get back two key players in their secondary ahead of Friday’s matchup in Philadelphia.
Thursday, November 27th
The Bears officially ruled out six players, including three linebackers. Chicago will be without four of the top six linebackers on their roster in Philadelphia. The Bears also ruled out cornerback Tyrique Stevenson, who some thought would lose his starting job to Nahshon Wright when the Bears returned to full health.
The Bears officially activated two key players in their secondary as Jaylon Johnson and Kyler Gordon will make their return against the Eagles in Week 13.
