Eagles-Bears Injury Report: Who Is Out for Week 3?
The Philadelphia Eagles will travel on the road to visit the Chicago Bears in Week 3. Unfortunately, both teams had key offensive players go down last week. What was supposed to be a must-see primetime matchup between two NFC contenders could be hindered by injuries. Here’s the updated injury report for both the Eagles and the Bears ahead of Monday night’s matchup.
Eagles Injury Report
Thursday, September 24, 2026:
Eagles TE Dallas Goedert suffered an MCL sprain in Week 2 but will reportedly avoid a stint on short-term injured reserve. Goedert was not on the field at practice, as expected.
Eagles RB Tank Bigsby was spotted at practice with his jersey on but he wasn’t wearing any pads or a helmet. Bigsby missed practice due to an abdomen injury.
Eagles RB Will Shipley also missed Thursday’s practice due to a foot injury.
Similar to Bigsby, Eagles WR DeVonta Smith was also seen at practice with his jersey on but he wasn’t wearing any pads or a helmet. Smith didn’t participate due to a hamstring injury, which is a bit concerning given that he missed time due to a hamstring injury during training camp.
Eagles EDGE Jonathan Greenard was once again limited due to the pectoral injury that he’s been dealing with since offseason workouts. It seems like Greenard could return in Week 3 with a limited workload.
Eagles RB Saquon Barkley suffered a stinger injury in Week 2 but he was back on the practice field on Thursday. Barkley told reporters after practice that the “MRI went well,” according to Jeff McLane of The Philadelphia Inquirer.
Eagles IDL Jalen Carter was limited during Thursday’s practice due to a wrist injury. It’s the same injury that Carter was dealing with last week, which he’ll likely continue to manage for the remainder of this season.
Eagles S Andrew Mukuba missed a practice last week due to a knee injury but ultimately played. Mukuba was limited during Thursday’s practice as the team continues to manage his knee injury.
Eagles starting RG Tyler Steen has a shoulder injury, yet he was a full participant on Thursday.
Bears Injury Report
Thursday, September 24, 2026
Bears starting QB Caleb Williams left last week’s game on a cart in what appeared to be a serious injury. Williams and the Bears received good news as he’s dealing with a hamstring strain. Yet it seems like Williams won’t be playing on Monday.
Bears backup QB Tyson Bagent stepped in for Williams in Week 2. Bagent suffered a concussion late in the game and his status remains uncertain for Monday night’s game. Bagent remains in concussion protocol.
Bears RB Kyle Monangai dealt with a knee injury in training camp. He was listed on the team’s injury report last week with a hamstring injury. Monangai reportedly visited the medical tent during Week 2 and this is worth monitoring.
Bears DL Grady Jarrett received a veteran rest day on Thursday as the 33-year-old prepares for Monday night’s matchup.
Bears DB Tyrique Stevenson suffered a hamstring injury in the second half of Week 2 and didn’t return to the game. Chicago has since signed CB Nick McCloud to the team’s practice squad as Stevenson’s status remains uncertain.
Bears K Cairo Santos missed Thursday’s practice due to a right hip injury. While Chicago brought in several defensive backs for workouts, they didn’t bring in any kickers so Santos’ injury likely won’t force him to miss Monday night’s game.
Bears LB Noah Sewell and DL Shemar Turner had their 21-day practice windows opened yet they both remain on the reserve/PUP list. It’s way too early to say if they’ll return for Week 3.
