2026 Eagles Practice Squad Tracker
The Philadelphia Eagles have started to assemble the team’s practice squad following yesterday’s roster deadline. Eagles general manager Howie Roseman will be forced to adapt as four of Philadelphia’s players that were waived yesterday were claimed on waivers by other teams. Here’s a closer look at the reported signings for the Eagles practice squad in 2026.
Dameon Pierce, RB
The 26-year-old veteran running back enjoyed a hot start to training camp in Philadelphia. It seemed like he was pushing Will Shipley in practice. Yet Pierce then missed several practices and two preseason games due to a hamstring injury. While it appeared like Pierce was making an early case to make the final 53-man roster, he just wasn’t available enough. But he’ll bring experience, both in the backfield and as a returner, to Philadelphia’s practice squad.

John Ojukwu, OL
Ojukwu signed a reserve/future contract with the Eagles back in January. After starting several games for the Tennessee Titans, the 27-year-old wanted a change of scenery and seemed to impress during his time with the Eagles. Ojukwu reportedly worked as both an offensive tackle and a guard with the team’s second team offense during training camp at times. He’ll likely be one of the first depth options called up if the Eagles suffer an injury along the offensive line.

Uar Bernard, IDL
Eagles defensive line coach Clint Hurtt vouched for international interior defensive lineman Uar Bernard ahead of the 2026 NFL Draft. Hurtt’s pitch was apparently good enough to convince Roseman to spend a seventh-round selection on the 21-year-old freak athlete with plenty of potential. Unfortunately, Bernard is just a bit too raw to warrant keeping on the final 53-man roster. Yet he showed enough to stick around on Philadelphia’s practice squad, where he’ll continue to learn and develop in one of the best position rooms in the NFL.

Gabe Hall, IDL
Unlike Bernard, second-year interior defensive lineman Gabe Hall showed enough to legitimately push for a spot on Philadelphia’s final 53-man roster. Yet the Eagles are simply too deep at the position and had to expose Hall to waivers. Luckily, the 25-year-old wasn’t claimed by another team and will return to the City of Brotherly Love. If the Eagles were to suffer an injury along the defensive line, Hall would likely get the call up from the practice squad.

Kiran Amegadjie, OL
The Chicago Bears made an interesting decision to give up on former third-round pick offensive lineman Kiran Amegadjie during final cuts. Amegadjie was a third-round pick in the 2024 NFL Draft and the Eagles were big fans of him that year. At just 24-years old with “unusual” tools (36 1/8” arm length and 85 1/2” wingspan) as Roseman would say, it makes sense for the Eagles to take a chance at developing Amegadjie. Here’s a picture of former Eagles northeast area scout Ben Ijalana talking to Amegadjie at UConn’s pro day in 2024.

Keyshawn James-Newby, EDGE
The Eagles threw a late day three dart at former New Mexico edge rusher Keyshawn James-Newby in the 2026 NFL Draft. Unfortunately, “KJN” was plagued by injuries during his time in Philadelphia, which forced him to miss a ton of practice time and two preseason games. James-Newby was finally able to play in Philadelphia’s preseason finale and made the most of the opportunity. The 24-year-old rookie recorded a sack and a forced fumble in his first in-game action with the Eagles. Now he’ll get a chance to continue developing on the team’s practice squad.

Chance Campbell, LB
The Eagles stumbled upon Campbell by chance, pun fully intended. Philadelphia signed Campbell late in training camp last season since the team needed more linebackers to get through the preseason. Yet the 26-year-old linebacker impressed during practice throughout last season, according to Zach Berman of The Athletic. Campbell parlayed that performance into a strong showing this summer and now returns to Philadelphia’s practice squad.

Britain Covey, WR
Since signing with the Eagles as an undrafted free agent following the 2022 NFL Draft, Covey has mostly remained in Philadelphia. Outside of a short stint with the Los Angeles Rams in 2025, Covey has continued to bring returner insurance to the Eagles. It’ll be interesting to see what happens with Covey this season, as Philadelphia could lean on Elijah Moore or Makai Lemon as a punt returner and Will Shipley and Tank Bigsby as kick returners. We’ll see.

Jake Majors, IOL
Majors joined Philadelphia’s practice squad early last season as the Eagles looked to add developmental talent along the interior of the offensive line. While Majors reportedly had an up-and-down summer, he played well in Philadelphia’s preseason finale. It’s worth noting that former Eagles center Jason Kelce took time to work with Majors during training camp. It’s clear that Majors has done enough to stick around in the City of Brotherly Love and learn in one of the best offensive line rooms in the NFL.

Maximus Pulley, S
Pulley signed with the Eagles as an undrafted free agent following the 2026 NFL Draft. Pulley was one of several rookie safeties that showed flashes during the summer in Philadelphia. The 23-year-old reportedly spent time with the Eagles second-team defense at times during training camp. It was also worth noting that Pulley was the team’s personal protector and made several plays on special teams throughout the preseason. Now he’ll continue to develop with Philadelphia’s long-term future at safety remaining murky, at best.

Mason Reiger, EDGE
Reiger is a “new face” in Philadelphia but the team has done plenty of homework on the undrafted rookie edge rusher. The Eagles reportedly hosted Reiger for a workout on Saturday and now he has officially joined Philadelphia’s practice squad. The team’s interest in Reiger during the pre-draft process was also well documented. At 6’4 1/2” and 251 lbs. with a Relative Athletic Score of 9.65, Reiger has the potential that is worth developing for the Eagles.

Carson Steele, RB
In my final 53-man roster projection for the Eagles, I had Steele making the cut. Following an impressive showing during the preseason in Philadelphia, many wanted the team to keep the 23-year-old around in 2026. Yet the Eagles were comfortable placing him on waiver and he has ultimately returned to the team. He’ll join Pierce as the second running back on Philadelphia’s practice squad but Steele offers a bit of a different skillset given his receiving ability and his experience playing fullback.

Joshua Weru, EDGE
Philadelphia’s international duo will remain intact as both Bernard and Weru are on the team’s practice squad. While Bernard needs more time to develop, it seemed like Weru showed more than enough during the preseason games to warrant possibly being claimed by another team on waivers. Luckily for the Eagles, Weru went unclaimed and he’ll continue to develop on Philadelphia’s practice squad. It’ll be fun to monitor the development of both Bernard and Weru over the next year or so.

Cole Wisniewski, S
After being selected by the Eagles in the seventh round of the 2026 NFL Draft, Wisniewski simply couldn’t stay healthy this summer. Wisniewski missed time due to a hamstring injury and then a concussion. The 24-year-old rookie was able to play in Philadelphia’s second preseason game and made a few plays against the New England Patriots. While the Eagles lost Kapena Gushiken on waivers, they were able to retain both Pulley and Wisniewski on the practice squad as developmental safety options.

Jaydon Blue, RB
Blue was unexpectedly waived by the Dallas Cowboys during final cuts. The Cowboys selected Blue in the fifth round of the 2025 NFL Draft and have given up on the 22-year-old running back after just one season. The Eagles hosted Blue on a 30 visit ahead of last year’s draft and clearly had interest in his explosive skillset. While that didn’t materialize into much in Dallas, Philadelphia is wisely willing to take a chance on Blue’s potential just one year later.
